Our History and Philosophy

The Lightnin name has a rich history dating back to 1975 when the Lewis family established Lightnin Truck Rentals in Decatur, Georgia, eventually relocating to Lawrenceville in our present location in 1995. The family sold that business in 1998, which specialized in renting trucks and equipment.

In 2002, owners Steve and Penny embarked on a cross-country RV trip with their family, spanning six weeks in the Western United States. Inspired by this adventure, they began renting RVs part-time, which gradually evolved into a full-time business offering Rentals, and later, Sales and Service.

Since then, our commitment to surpassing all competitors in Georgia and beyond has enabled Lightnin RV Rental and Sales to set a high standard for meeting our customers' expectations.
